YOUNG PEOPLE
Breakout is Derby’s drug and alcohol service for young people. Breakout works with people under the age of 18 who would like advice, help and support for their drug or alcohol use.

Breakout is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Alcohol and drugs support - Derbyshire County Council
Drug and alcohol services for ADULTS in Derbyshire are integrated. These are funded by Derbyshire County Council and provided by Derbyshire Recovery Partnership (DRP) which is a partnership between four organisations - Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, Phoenix Futures, DAAS and Intuitive Thinking Skills. The Derbyshire Recovery Partnership can offer advice and support, including
- Opiate Substitute Prescribing.
- Alcohol Relapse Prevention Prescribing.
- Detox options for both opiates & alcohol.
- Psychosocial Interventions.
- Recovery Support
DRP can also offer support to access funded residential rehabilitation and inpatient detoxification placements.

Amber Valley
Amber Valley residents needing support due to mental ill health or drug or alcohol misuse will now be able to meet with an NHS worker in the centre of Ripley, in a more welcoming environment, thanks to a collaboration between Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Amber Valley Borough Council
Anyone referred into the Amber Valley community mental health team, and anyone wanting to refer themselves into the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership drug and alcohol service, can now come to Ripley Town Hall in the Market Place in Ripley and benefit from the improved accommodation and increased space available for patient care

If a client believes that their drinking has been creeping up in the past year, and has thoughts about cutting back a bit, but isn’t sure where to start, Derbyshire County Council has a free and confidential app available to support Derbyshire residents. Lower My Drinking is an easy-to-use app with useful pointers about where to start with cutting back, and how to keep going. YOUNG PEOPLE
If you are worried about a child or young person using alcohol or drugs you can speak to a school nurse or contact CGL who are the commissioned service for young people in Derbyshire
CGL has a confidential service for all young people aged from 10 to 19 which aims to help reduce the risks and harm associated with alcohol or drug misuse.

Space 4 U
If you are worried that a child or young person is adversely affected by the substance misuse of a parent or carer, and needs support or a safe space to talk, contact Space 4 U. This service is funded by Derbyshire County Council and provided by Action for Children and aims to support children and young people to keep themselves safe, build their resilience, make informed choices and give them a voice when they may not have always been heard.
